Since the school was founded in 1965, spiritual growth has always been a high priority at First Presbyterian Day School. Each day, teachers share daily devotionals and prayer time with students. Scripture memory and personal application of Biblical truths are part of daily instruction.
Students in grades first through sixth attend Bible class every day (except on Chapel day).
Grades first through fifth use the Walking with God and His People curriculum. Our sixth grade teacher uses a variety of resources including the Character Quest series by Lifeway. Grades third through sixth receive grades in Bible.
FPDS also hosts a monthly Bible Study during lunch for fifth and sixth grade boys and girls separately. The study is led by Mr. Brian Smith and Mrs. Emily Oswalt, along with staff from First Presbyterian Church.
