Anna was born and grew up in Jackson. She attended the University of Mississippi, where she received Bachelor of Arts degrees in both linguistics and English. Post-college, she completed courses at Reformed Theological Seminary as well as graduate courses at Belhaven University. Anna has taught an adjunct English course at Belhaven University and served as a preschool teacher at a local independent school, followed by several years at a local preschool. She and her husband, David, met while attending Ole Miss and have two children, Sophia and Ezra, who attend FPDS. They are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Anna enjoys singing and participating in special music at her church. An FPDS alum, she also enjoys biking, swimming, and taking nature walks, especially with her puppy, Magnolia. She says she is passionate about children's books and relating God's truth and love to children through story. “I am so grateful and excited to have the opportunity to teach in such a caring and thoughtful academic and Christian school environment,” she says. “As a parent of children at the Day School, I have been so pleased and encouraged by the integration of God's truth and love to them through not only the curriculum, but also the sincere investment the teachers and staff put into their interactions with my children. In other words, I have witnessed here the teachers and staff pour themselves out in not only words of truth but also actions of genuine warmth and encouragement to their students.”
