Carol graduated from Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She came to FPDS in 2010 after teaching for 16 years, the majority spent in the Clinton Public School District. In addition, she previously served as district coordinator for Hinds County Schools and on the Principal Advisory Committee and as lead third grade teacher in the Clinton schools. She is a certified English Language Learner teacher and was a curriculum specialist, aligning and restructuring second, third and fourth grade curriculum with a selected group of teachers in the Clinton School District. She was born and raised in Jackson and attends Morrison Heights Baptist Church. She and her husband, Trey, have two daughters, Ashley and Anna Grace. “As both a teacher and former parent at FPDS, I have seen first-hand the amazing spiritual and academic commitment this school offers its students and parents,” she says. Her hobbies include cooking, photography, decorating and crafting. “Teaching at First Pres. is a wonderful experience. Not only is it a great feeling to share God’s Word with my students, but I have gained a family of Godly men and women whose desire is to support one another while growing in God’s kingdom.”
