Connie is a native of Ellisville and attended grades kindergarten through 12th in the Jones County School District. She graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and obtained a Master of Education degree from Mississippi College in 2004.
She and her husband, Richard, have one daughter, Camille, who attends FPDS. They attend First Baptist Church of Jackson. Her hobbies include playing with her very imaginative daughter, being an avid reader, and spending time at Lake Bruin.
Connie previously served in the public school systems of Laurel, Madison, and Clinton for almost 20 years, teaching language arts in grades fifth through eighth. She was selected as Teacher of the Year by East Flora Middle School and Lovett Elementary School and selected as one of 12 Metro Teachers of the year by the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership.
“It is my personal privilege to work in an environment where I can effectively combine my faith and my calling to teach,” she says. “As a FPDS teacher, I vow to daily discuss God with my students and help instill Christian principles into their lives and into their education teaching them in a manner that prepares them for their futures under the umbrella of scripture and the guidance it provides.”
