Originally from Coral Gables, Florida, outside of Miami, Melinda has taught for almost 40 years in grades second through sixth and even physical education. She received a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Belhaven University and has taught at FPDS for more than 30 years. She and her husband, Bill, have three sons, David, Stephen and John, who are FPDS alums, and seven grandchildren. A member of First Presbyterian Church Jackson, Melinda enjoys spending time with grandchildren, gardening, and walking. “I am so thankful and blessed that God has given me the privilege to teach and share God’s message – the Gospel – with the children and families of FPDS.
