Meredith was born in Durham, North Carolina, but lived in Dallas, Texas, from the age of four until leaving for Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama for college. She graduated from Alabama in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and moved to Jackson. Meredith also holds a Master's degree in Academic Language Therapy. After teaching at a local preschool followed by several years in the Rankin County School District, Meredith joined the FPDS staff in 2008. She and her husband, John, have two daughters, Ella and Rose Mary, who both attended FPDS. They attend St. James Episcopal Church. “I consider my teaching a gift from God, a calling, and ministry. I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember! I was truly led to The Day School and know that this is exactly where God wants me to be,” she says. “It has been a tremendous blessing, both to me and my family, to be part of the FPDS family.” Meredith enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.
