Save the Date! Field Day 2017 will be held on Friday, May 12, from 9 a.m. until noon. Due to renovations at Belhaven University, Field Day 2017 will be held at the First Baptist Church Field, located at the corner of High Street and North Street in downtown Jackson. This year, students will NOT be dropped off at school, but we will all meet at the field. Instructions and maps including where and when to meet, where to park, etc., will be provided for you closer to the event. Bring the whole family and come celebrate our children and FPDS! There will be plenty of food and fun for everyone.
PARENTS-WE NEED YOU! For a student to participate, a parent will need to attend Field Day. Please remember, Field Day is staffed only by parent volunteers. What better way to make Field Day a success and watch your child (or children) participate than to be a volunteer! Here’s how you can help: Sign up online only for a 1-hour shift using the link below.
Please make sure your shift does not conflict with your child’s relay time listed below… you don’t want to miss that! The online form should be completed by Friday, March 31. We ask that at least one parent from each household sign up for a one hour shift for Field Day. Thank you, in advance, for your participation!
KINDERGARTEN AND 6TH GRADE: 9:30-10:00
1ST AND 2ND GRADE: 10:15-10:45
3RD, 4TH AND 5TH GRADE: 11:00-11:30
Kindergarten parents, if this is your first Field Day, instead of signing up for a shift, we are asking you to purchase candy for the prize tent. More information about Field Day and what to purchase will follow.
