Step into the spotlight and be a part of our school’s 2024-2025 podcast team, entitled "The Buzz.” The Buzz is in its second year at FPDS! Each week, our talented students bring you the latest school news and happenings, keeping everyone in the loop. Tune in for engaging interviews with fellow students, staff, and special guests, and stay informed with kid-friendly fun and inspiring stories from across our state and throughout the world. As a member of our podcast team, you'll have the incredible opportunity to explore your imagination and bring your unique ideas to life. From weekly school news to thrilling stories and inspiring interviews, the podcasting world is yours to conquer. Join us as we create a buzzing community of young broadcasters, sharing stories and spreading positivity! 

Time: Thursday afternoons from 2:45-4:00 

Grade levels: 5th and 6th Grades 

Cost: $450 (for the year) assessed through FACTS. May be broken into 2 payments ($225 in September and $225 in October) 

Please note: Our podcast team is selected through interview/audition and teacher recommendation. Students interested in trying out for the team should pick up a form from Mrs. Brister in the Innovation Lab no later than Friday, August 23rd. Interviews/auditions will be held the week of August 26th and will only take about 5 minutes. Students will be allowed to audition during school hours. Teacher recommendations will be due on or before Friday, August 30th. Students selected for the 2024-2025 podcast team will be released on Wednesday, September 4th. 

Minimum number of students in order to form team: 5 

Preferable number: 8-10 

The Buzz Podcast Team will begin planning/recording sessions on Thursday, Sept.12th. Our last recording session will end on Thursday, May 8th.
