December/January Red Apple Award

Each month, staff members from different areas of FPDS are honored with the “Red Apple Award”. The Red Apple is awarded to staff members that go above and beyond their call of duty!

Since December and January weren’t full months at school- we combined them! The December/January Red Apple Award Winners are Jasmine McDaniel (Early Childhood 1’s Teacher), Hasina Brown (K3 Lead Teacher), Julie Benson (2nd Grade Teacher) and Amy Hutton (Kindergarten Lead Teacher). Thank you to these incredible ladies - we are so grateful for your love and support of our school and students.

Jasmine has been a wonderful addition to our Early Childhood program.

With a degree in Early Childhood Education, she has such a knack for lesson planning, circle time, and classroom management for toddlers.  She's also great at crafting and reading and even takes her babies to the FPDS Library.

Her positive attitude, respectful nature, and her dedication to our program are just a few things I appreciate about Jasmine.

- Dea Bowling / Early Childhood Director

We are blessed to have Hasina Brown teaching our little ones. She loves each child and knows their individual needs. She works tirelessly without complaining.

Hasina is also a huge asset to our after-school and summer programs, ensuring each child is loved and cared for at all times.

 -Kim Duhs / Kindergarten Principal

Julie is such an asset to our second grade team. Julie embodies the qualities of an outstanding educator, inspiring students and setting a high standard of excellence in teaching.

Julie masterfully intertwines her exceptional teaching abilities with a sense of fun, creativity, and enthusiasm. Her enthusiasm is infectious. She has a natural ability to spark curiosity and ignite a passion for learning in their students. I am so thankful for Julie and her dedication to FPDS.

-Gigi O’Neal / Assistant Head of School

Amy Hutton is the embodiment of joy. She loves Jesus, she loves FPDS, and she loves children; that is a great combination. Amy uses her natural teaching gifts, along with a desire to see each child find his/her gifts and abilities.

FPDS is a brighter place each day because of Amy Hutton.
