Mrs. Jennifer Morgan - FPDS September Teacher of the Month
We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Jennifer Morgan has been named Teacher of the Month at FPDS! With 29 years of experience in teaching, including 13 years dedicated to our school, Mrs. Morgan has continually gone above and beyond in her commitment to her students, her colleagues, and her community.
Mrs. Morgan’s love for teaching kindergarten shines brightly each day in her classroom. Her favorite memories at FPDS include the joyful Mother Goose Parade and the beloved Barnyard Praise, both of which capture the playful and creative spirit she brings to her work. "Each day in Kindergarten is a new day and never a dull moment," Mrs. Morgan says. "Flexibility, patience, and laughter are a must!"
Her passion for teaching is deeply rooted in her faith. Mrs. Morgan’s class verse, Jeremiah 29:11, serves as a guiding light in her classroom, reminding her and her students of God’s love and plans for them. She begins each day with the Betty Lukens Through the Bible in Felt devotions, a hands-on approach that brings Old Testament stories to life for her students. This interactive method, combined with the Deep Roots Bible Curriculum, helps to instill a strong biblical foundation in her students. Jennifer strives to ensure that every child in her care feels God's unconditional love and knows they are cherished by their teachers.
Kim Duhs, Director of Kindergarten, praises Jennifer’s dedication: "Jennifer Morgan is such a servant for the Lord. She teaches K5 Monday through Friday at FPDS and then teaches K5 Sunday School at her church on Sundays. She works year-round, ensuring our children are cared for during the summer by directing Under the Oaks. She is also the Grade Level Chairman for the Kindergarten teachers and is always volunteering to help in any way she can at FPDS. Jennifer is a wonderful friend to all, and her students and their parents love and respect her, appreciating all she does to teach them about kindness through her own actions. We are blessed to have her at FPDS!"
Mrs. Morgan's impact extends beyond her classroom. As a Grade Level Chairman and director of the Under the Oaks summer program, she plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive and enriching environment for both students and staff. Her willingness to serve, whether it's through teaching Sunday School or lending a helping hand whenever needed, reflects her unwavering dedication to her calling.
Congratulations, Mrs. Morgan, on this well-deserved recognition! Your love for teaching, your faith, and your commitment to nurturing young hearts and minds inspire us all. FPDS is truly blessed to have you as part of our family.
