Mrs. Sara Moss named Athletic Director

“Physical education has always been a big part of my life. I was always active in sports and eager to learn new games. Athletics helped me with team work, develop a healthy lifestyle, and also has been a great stress reliever.

With the world becoming more involved with technology, physical education is critical for a child's well-being. Physical activity not only helps strengthen bodies, but it also enhances a child’s ability to concentrate inside the classroom, lower stress and anxiety, and improves overall daily activity.

I am so honored to accept this new role as Athletic Director, and I am excited to continue to be a part of the future of sports and physical education here at FPDS.” - Coach Sara Moss

Since arriving in 2018, Coach Moss has led the continued development of our physical education department, while also assisting with the development of the new 35,000+ square-foot playground.

Over the past year, Coach Moss has implemented the following athletic opportunities for our FPDS students:

  • Intramural Volleyball (5th grade)

  • Interscholastic Volleyball (6th grade)

  • Intramural Basketball (3rd & 4th grades)

  • Interscholastic Basketball (5th & 6th grades)

  • Interscholastic Track (5th and 6th grades)

We are excited for Coach Moss to continuing leading the physical development of our students and the increased opportunities for competition for our student athletes. At FPDS, we believe sports are a great physical example of the discipline and passion we should exhibit in our spiritual walk, and we strive to educate our athletes accordingly.

“As Athletic Director, the most joyous part of my job is to watch a student grow and develop in a new sport or game. Seeing them increase in strength and confidence as they face new opportunities brings a huge smile to my face. It is imperative to me personally to try and introduce as many opportunities as possible for our students, so that they can better understand not only their gifts and talents but also what they enjoy doing!” - Coach Sara Moss
