October Red Apple Award
Each month, staff members from different areas of FPDS are honored with the “Red Apple Award”. The Red Apple is awarded to staff members that go above and beyond their call of duty!
October’s Red Apple Award Winners are Dendy McDavid (Early Childhood 1’s Teacher), Cindy Wilks (K4 Lead Teacher), Meghan Kersgaard (Word Works) and Lauren Vance (FPDS Office). Thank you to these incredible ladies - we are so grateful for your love and support of our school and students.
Gigi O’Neal on Meghan, “Meghan Kersgaard goes above and beyond her call of duty. She is a hard-working, well organized, committed teacher who has given much to our students. Meghan quickly develops a good rapport with her students, establishes solid routines, and employs consistent and fair practices in her classroom”.
Kim Duhs on Cindy, “Cindy Wilks has served our students and families for many years with kindness and diligence making sure each child knows they are loved. She works long hours preparing her days to meet the needs of her children. She is planting seeds in the hearts of these young ones for their personal walk with the Lord”.
Dea Bowling on Dendy, “Dendy McDavid is such a gift to our Early Childhood program, the babies, and the families she is serving. Her ability to comfort and care for children has been a joy to witness. God has truly equipped her for this role, and I'm so glad she is sharing her gifts with FPDS”.
Brian Smith on Lauren, “Lauren Vance serves as the office manager and provides administrative staff support, but that is just on the surface. Behind the scenes, she is a Swiss Army knife, serving FPDS in multiple ways every day. Lauren has a true servant’s heart, willing to help at all times, with no job too small or too big for her. Lauren is a MVP of our staff”.
