Welcome to 5th Grade, Mrs. Robichaux!
First Presbyterian Day School is excited to announce Mrs. Kim Robichaux will be teaching 5th grade science starting this fall!
Mrs. Robichaux's educational experience is expansive, ranging from over 10 years of teaching experience as well as an elementary education degree from the University of Mississippi. Mrs. Robichaux holds certifications for teaching Kindergarten through 8th grade in all subjects and also 9-12th grade science and english. Mrs. Robichaux has taught in our preschool the past few years, and we are excited to bring her to our 5th grade team in this new role.
"The Lord has plans for us and everything is on God's timing! I have loved teaching in the preschool, but sharing my love for science is something I feel led to do! The world is an amazing place, and I want to teach every student to truly understand and appreciate the intricacies of this world. The more we understand creation through science, the more clearly we see that it is the handiwork of God!", remarked Mrs. Robichaux.
"FPDS is such a wonderful school. I love that it is rooted in the biblical perspective that helps equip a child for life- spiritually and academically! Our school is really special because it's a community where students, families, faculty, and staff encourage one another to further their education and love of God. Christian education allows us to be more intentional about what we learn and how we live out our faith."
Head of School, Brian Smith, shares Mrs. Robichaux's excitement, "The academic distinction we expect from our students is unmatched at First Presbyterian Day School, and we believe Mrs. Robichaux will enhance our science education in big ways. Her background and passion for science will inevitably make a huge impact on our students. We are grateful for her love and commitment to FPDS and are excited to see the growth of our students through her."
